NOTES:

Temporary Cessation (TC)- is defined as a mine where the operator has asked Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (DRMS) to suspend its operations. When a permit is issued it has a time limit, but if an operator receives a (TC), the clock stops on the permit (e.g. a permit is issued for 5 years, but a TC is granted for one year, therefore the site will be in existence for 6 years).

Necessary Notes- this is data INFORM has collected about a given mine.

Operating- This is INFORM’s term which is used for a mine that is operating under its established permit.

DMO- Designated Mining Operation is a term used by the DRMS for a mine. The must meet stringent environmental and reclamation standards-that are now applied to all uranium mines.

“M” denotes a mine permit.

“P” denotes a prospecting permit.
